PEEL RIMU

Write a PEEL paragraph responding to this statement

Rimu is the best syndicate at TIS.

You must:

Decide on your umbrella Point
Give at least 3 Explain reasons, each with an specific Example
Finish with a Linking sentence back to your P statement.
Use sequencing words for your reasons

Rimu is the best syndicate at TIS because it is Multimedia. Firstly, Rimu is a multimedia house which means that most of our work is done on computers and that means we can easily find resources to help us learn such as Khan Academy. Secondly, typing is so much faster than writing so Rimu students can finish work faster than mainstream classes, a good example of this would be in the writing sample where most people in Rimu finish fast that people in mainstream. Another point, would be that having computer saves money on books and stationery and example would be that rimu students only need three books where mainstreamed students need six. It's because of these reasons why I think Rimu is the best house.

Additionally, he is constantly working with our teachers to create fun and exciting work for his students such as Mrs Mills and Mr Diver are always finding new educational websites such as Studyladder. Another example of his bright mind would be all the awards and certificates he displays in his office such as graduation and principal awards he has earned by being the best he can for himself and his students. MMP Politics wednesday

Explain our MMP voting system (Mixed Member Proportional)

With the MMP system each person get two votes, one for the party you would like to choose and one for a person to represent your local electorates. For instance if the Mango party got 50% of votes they would get about 50% of the 120 seats in parliament but if the Pineapple party gets 10% they would get 10% of the seats in parliament. The electorate with the most votes will be the local MP. To get into parliament a party must get at least 5% of votes or win an electorate seats. If the Dragon Fruit gets 4% of votes which is under the 5% threshold but since they got one electorate they get 4% of seats in parliament. For instance if the Watermelon party only gets 3% of votes and the Coconut party gets 4% of votes and neither of them got a electorate they can make a coalition and work together and combine these points so now they have 7% if votes so the get 7% of the seats in parliament.

e.g.

Use any further fiscal headroom to get debt to 20 per cent of GDP debt earlier than 2020.
Finance
Ratification
Manifesto

Clarify the meaning of the word or phrase in this sentence and the meaning of the whole sentence.
Finance: Managing large amounts of money
Ratification: To give formal consent
Manifesto: To declare policies or aims

National:

National will strengthen New Zealand’s Defence Force to ensure our personnel have the state-of-the-art tools they need to get the job done.

I think this is a good policy because protecting our country in my opinion is very important.

We are committed to providing recognition to those who gave service to New Zealand and supporting those who suffered ill-health effects as a result of their service.
I do think this is a good idea but many charities etc are already doing this.
We are committed to every New Zealand child getting the best possible education so they can be successful here at home and around the world.
This will directly affect me because i'm currently in a school and this will help me and my fellow student learn.

Labor:
Labour has a strong record on animal welfare.
I think this is good because animals deserve to be treated right
Labour is proud to be Kiwi made.
This is a NZ party so it's sorta pointless spending money to make labor more 'NZ'
Reduce the average size of secondary school classes from 26+ down to 23,
This will affect me directly because I will have a smaller class

Internet party

Cheaper, Universal Internet

This will be great for me because I love internets

Dolphins

This is a good idea but lots of organisations are already doing this so it's kinda a waste of money

Modern Schools

This will affect me because i'm currently in school.

"Hey did you see that leaf over there?" Chameleon one asked.
"What leaf?" Chameleon two asked back.
"That one!"
"WHAT ONE? point to it."
"We don't have fingers! well it's this one"
Chameleon one slowly walked over to a very particular leaf.
"This one," Chameleon one sat down next to the leaf.
"Notice anything strange about it?" Chameleon one asked.
"No not really."
Suddenly the leaf flew away then came back to sit in from of Chameleon two.
"Ahh!" screamed Chameleon one "It moved!"

Space immigrant

I have been on the rock you call Draenor for hundreds of years. I fled my home planet because of galactic war. My only companions are my pet space whale and this bowl of noodles. I am stranded here because my space whale ate my last warpdrive. I walked for many cycles searching for the nearest space AA, then I smelt something "oh glarb what is that smell,"I turn only to see a tiny green and blue Scwabble.
