enlargement

What 2 things do you always need to say to describe an enlargement?
How many times bigger the shape is going to be?
Where is the center of enlargement.

What does centre of enlargement mean?
The point where the enlargement starts

What is a scale factor?
How many times the enlargement is bigger than the original

Explain how to work out the scale factor on a grid, and with no grid. Use diagrams
you have screenshot from the myimaths lesson.
On a grid you count the squares on one side of the original and how many more on the enlarged shape.
Without a grid you measure the center of enlargement to the center of both shapes.

What happens to the angle sizes in the corner of the shape when you enlarge it?
The angels stay the same because they have to add up to 180

Rotational Symetry

  1. In your own words explain what rotational symmetry is. Rotational Symmetry is a shape that can be rotated but can still look the same
  2. A shape has an order of rotational symmetry of 2. What does this mean? It mean that the shape has matched itself 2 times in the rotation
  3. How is rotational symmetry different from line symmetry? Line symmetry doesn't rotate
  4. What do you do to check if a shape has rotational symmetry? rotate it and if it matches it have rotational symetry
  5. Find pictures of 3 real life objects which have rotational symmetry (not shapes, objects e.g. foods, logos) and paste them into your post

Mean, Median, Mode and Range song

Lyrics

Mode, Median, Mean and Range

Mode, Median, Mean and Range

Don't you think these word are strange

Don't you think these word are strange

I will get your mind to change

Mode. mode Mu, Mu, Mu, Mode and Mode

Is the number that occurs the most
Mode. mode Mu, Mu, Mu, Mode and Mode
Is the number that occurs the most

You got 1,1,2,2,3,3,3 and 4

You got 1,1,2,2,3,3,3 and 4

Witch of those numbers did I say more

Witch of those numbers did I say more

3 is the mode because it occurs the most

Mods. mode Mu, Mu, Mu, Mode and Mode

Is the number that occurs the most
Mods. mode Mu, Mu, Mu, Mode and Mode
Is the number that occurs the most

You got 1,1,2,2,3,3,3 and 4

You got 1,1,2,2,3,3,3 and 4

Witch of those numbers did I say more

Witch of those numbers did I say more

3 is the mode because it occurs the most

Now stop

Lets take it to the middle

Gona find the median
no time to daddle diddle

line up all the numbers to smalls to the big

and the one in the middle does the median cheer

Go median, middle number

Go median, middle number

Now the third ones mean, not nice but mean
Its the average number if you know what I mean
Just add up all the numbers and divide them by the number of added
Whats that, whats mean?
You add up all the numbers and divide them by the number of added
Yeah you know what I mean
You add up all the numbers and divide them by the number of added
It's the average number, mean, its the average number
1 more round and the song is done
Lets talk about range and have some fun
It's the biggest number minus the smallest number, in the group, in the group
It's the biggest number minus the smallest number , in the group, in the group

You got Mode, Median, Mean and Range
Mode, Median, Mean and Range
