waitangi day 45 minutes

These people are carrying the banner because they don't think the treaty has been honoured

The treaty was singed on 6th February 1840. 40 maori chiefs signed it but later over 500 more signed. Most of the chiefs didn't know how to write they used symbols and crosses. The treaty was singed in waiting which is above auckland. The treaty was between two groups the british and the maori.

There is a maori version of the treaty and a english version.

They are now debating which treaty is more accurate
